The Boston Shamrocks Girls program was founded in 2008 by Bob Rotondo. Since then it has helped shape the lives of hundreds of girls over the years by providing them with the tools to succeed in life. In 2024, the program was sold to Bright Matter Sports & Entertainment, New England's leading sports platform for helping participants achieve maximum success in and out of competition.

The Boston Shamrocks Girls Youth Hockey Program is a Tier 1 and Tier 2 USA Hockey Sanctioned Program program that holds open tryouts in late March or early April prior to each season.

The Girls Program consist of multiple Full and Half Season teams competing from the 10U through 19U levels. The Girls Teams are USA Hockey Registered and compete in the New England Girls Hockey League (NEGHL). The NEGHL is USA Hockey Registered and plays its games pursuant to USA Hockey rules.

The Boston Shamrocks Girls Youth Hockey Program is based out of Somerville Rinks and Allied Veterans Memorial Rink in Everett, Massachusetts.

A highlight of our offerings includes:

  • Foundations (8U, 10U) - 24 weeks x 1.5 hrs of skills; 4 tournaments
  • 12U, 14U - two set weekly prime-time practices; weekly shooting, stick handling & skating skills; off-ice training and goalie specific skills & training
  • 16U, 19U - practice on Sunday mornings
  • Weekly skills sessions for all players
  • Dryland training (Bando Sports)
